Free trade zones in Egypt
Egypt has several free trade zones strategically located throughout the country to promote investment and facilitate international trade.
There are currently 9 public free zones in Egypt, equipped with all the necessary facilities and infrastructure to support the operation and implementation of companies and their productions.
These free zones are strategically located in major cities that are well positioned due to their location, availability of labor and proximity to major seaports and airports, thus providing optimal support to both the zone itself and the surrounding areas.
The investment areas in these free zones are leased for an indefinite period on the basis of an annual lease system. The rental prices per square meter vary depending on the type of activity of the project: US$5 per square meter per year for industrial activities and US$10 for service and storage activities.
